Commercial Development

In spite of the bad economic situation Rüsselsheim can register important enterprise settlements. Beside the logistics service providers Cargo Movers and World Courier the pressure centre the Rhine Main has begun business park with his construction work in the Blauer See Business Park. Shortly Hewlett Packard and e-shelter will begin with the construction of their computer centres.

The STEG (= Stadtentwicklungsgesellschaft Rüsselsheim) focus of activities is currently on the commercialization of municipal land, in particular Blauer See Business Park. Additionally, we support landlords and owners in letting or selling their properties.

The development of the Opel Forum, a historic factory building currently still used by Adam Opel GmbH, will stimulate trade in the city center and in the town of Rüsselsheim. The investors have recently presented their plans for a unique attraction including a shopping mall, modern office premises, hotel and restaurant as well as three unique collections of vintage cars, young timers and concept cars.
